Parking options include limited hotel parking spaces or nearby public parking. Please ensure to book early to secure your spot. • How are your raffles organised?
AMSA may offer raffles at some events. This is to raise funds to support current and future events. We use a software called RaffleTix . What it does is it shuffles all valid ticket numbers. A valid ticket number is a number that has not been picked previously in the raffle. A ticket is randomly chosen, like choosing a random card from a shuffled deck of cards. Here’s how RaffleTix works: 1. RaffleTix stores the list of valid ticket numbers in a database-generated randomised order. Each ticket number is given a Record ID. Because the ticket number records are in random order, the Record ID will generally not be the same as the ticket number. 2. A random number is injected from an external system using Microsoft’s statistically valid random number generator. 3. The injected random number is used to select a Record ID from the randomised list of valid ticket numbers. The ticket number associated with the Record ID will then be displayed as the winning number. 4. For the next prize, the system goes back to the first step.
